The cringeworthy interview with the infamous snake oil salesman Dr. Oz that aired yesterday went down exactly like the producers wanted.
I was interested because Roosh is a figurehead of the manosphere, which is something that I am now associated with so I wanted to see how he would represent. Plus…I hate fat girls.
A few things first:
I don’t like Roosh. Ever since I saw his youtube videos a few years ago, I knew he just wasn’t a guy who I would get along with. Plus his game is incredibly weak for being a professional. He has complained a lot about not being able to get laid many times and thats very bizarre if you have been working at the game for years. Something is off and it shines through with his obsession with feminism, click-bait, rape, and negativity.
That combined with me being unjustly banned from his forum where I was meeting like-minded guys and creating connections with in real life…and you can see why I don’t have any reason to give him a hug (I break down what happened and my thoughts as to why in Go Forth…Google ‘Goldmund ban’ for some shits n’ giggles).
But…just because I don’t like him doesn’t mean I don’t respect some of the things he has done. He created a few platforms that give voices to those who wouldn’t have had the opportunity before. And he is all about men reclaiming their place in todays backwards world. Thats pretty fucking cool.
And it does take a ton of guts to go in front of an audience, especially an audience full of rabid idiots, and be interviewed by a maniacal madman.
I didn’t watch the show in hopes to see Roosh slaughtered like he was, but I really hoped he would be able to withstand the very foreseeable attack that was being prepared.
Dr. Oz is one of the most obvious quacks in the world. His daytime Television show is nothing but modern theater that hires actors to be in its audience, panders to the lowest common denominator, and is only about ratings and entertainment based on manipulating the audience’s (mostly fat/unstable women) emotions.
And it makes millions because people who spend the most money in America are fat/unstable women who watch daytime TV that manipulates their emotions.
Oz is a master at what he does and is incredibly successful because of it. Yes its evil, yes its fucked up, yes its wrong…but that is the world we live in and most of the people in it are tricked by the system and allow themselves to become pawns.
There is nothing you can do about that.
How Roosh didn’t fully see what was coming and came to the show armed with nothing but logical arguments and facts is beyond me. Using logical arguments and facts on a show that is driven by emotional manipulation is like bringing a bat to a gunfight.
A’int gonna work.
There is one explanation that makes sense and I hope it serves as a lesson to everyone.
Arrogance is blinding, it can put you off guard and leave you open to fall hard.
If you think getting flown in to New York City and making an appearance on a TV show that has an audience in the millions doesn’t require preparation, then you haven’t thought properly.
There are plenty of media coaches in this city. People who know how the media operates, know exactly what quacky daytime TV is all about, and can prepare you for what’s coming.
Coaches who can prep you and give tips on body language and eye contact so you don’t come across looking like a weakling.
People who can give you a heads up on the tactics that will be used and the best ways to combat them so you don’t flounder around with a shaky voice and play exactly into the puppet masters hands.
You can’t go into an arena like the Dr. Oz show without outside help. You have to be willing to learn from others who know how the system works, have experience, and can teach you how to maximize your strengths.
It takes humility to have foresight, and Roosh admits he went in completely unprepared. His arrogance blinded him as to what was coming and he fell hard.
I’m pretty sure that huge serving of humble pie is going to be one of the biggest learning experiences of his life and I hope it serves as a huge lesson to anyone who viewed the debacle.
If the manosphere does start gaining mainstream attention, I hope the guys who put themselves out there are prepared to step up and represent. They aren’t going to do it without some education on how the real world works.
The liars, quacks, and thieves rule right now and always will. There will always be an endless amount of sheep to blindly follow them…us wolves living outside the pasture will never be accepted, but it doesn’t hurt to get practice wearing sheep’s clothing.
**HUGE announcement coming in this Friday’s post. Make sure you catch this one…especially if you live in America.**
