Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has been a staple in my home for a long time.

There are endless uses for it, and it is something that you should put in your body every day. My favorite ways to ingest it are putting in a cup of black coffee first thing in the morning (it staves off hunger for a few hours this way as well), and using it to cook scrambled eggs (the taste is remarkably delicious).

You can also use it to ‘pull’ through your teeth. That involves taking a large tablespoon of it and gently swishing it around your mouth for 15-20 minutes. This reduces plaque, kills bacteria, and makes your teeth stronger all at the same time. Just make sure you spit out the frothy oil at the end and don’t swallow any of the gunk that you have pulled from your system.

I try to ‘pull’ once every two weeks in order to maintain maximum mouth health.

It also makes for a great skin moisturizer. It only takes a little bit to work and leaves you with soft, glistening skin that smells like the beach. And if you want your hair a little thicker and shinier, you can rub some in it, and then wash it out in the shower.

Coconut oil is widely known as one of the most healthy substances on the planet and is known to reduce bad cholesterol, help you burn fat, kill bacteria and microorganisms, and repair your cells. It is the most concentrated source of lauric acid known–and lauric acid is really good for you.

And it makes for a great lube for sexual activity–healthy, sweet smelling, sexy, and great for the skin!

If you are going to get some, and I highly recommend that you do, you should make sure that it is unrefined and extra virgin–like the one I use here.
