Photo Tour of Havana, Cuba

I spent the 2016 Christmas week in Havana, Cuba and have some stories to tell.

Most notably,¬†getting robbed by a few Russian mobsters while trying to find a place to have sex with a beautiful local Cuban girl–she had light skin, blonde hair, and incredible curves–black girl curves, I nicknamed her “Vanilla Blackalicious”.

But that story will have to wait for another day when I can sit down in peace to write–I’ve been going hard and nonstop for the past 16 days–visiting new cities, family, friends, stripclubs, swamps, beaches, and bars–and I need to come down from the stimulation.

The story will come when my brain is calm, right now its an electric fence.

Here are some photographs I snapped while walking around broke as hell after getting robbed in Havana.

A view of San Lazaro, just North of Chinatown. I stayed on this street in Vedado.

Lots of Blues and Yellows around the city. Cuban colours.

There won't ever be another revolution like the one in Cuba. Amazing, fucked up, and a major historical moment.

There is a pleasant atmosphere in the streets. Reminded me of New Orleans.

The city is considered one of the 'New 7 Wonders'. Whatever that means.

Average wage for a Cuban is under 25$ a month. Offset by free healthcare, subsidized living, and education.

The vintage cars all over the city are truly incredible. I rode in many of them before I got robbed and each one had some custom work done on it to keep it running.

There are a number of parks dotted around the city that you can hang out in all day...in case you don't have any money because you got robbed by Russians.

Again...the colors around the town are a reason to visit. Its alive.

There are tons of international tourists in Cuba. Not many Americans, I only met four my entire time there. When I told people I was from New York, they were shocked.

You must take a car over to the military fort. Walking isn't allowed...which sucks after getting robbed by Russians.

You also have to pay to get inside Plaza de Armas. Which sucks after getting robbed by Russians.

Cathedral Plaze is a nice place to spend an hour gazing at the old Spanish architecture and hitting on endless international tourist girls.

The locals were very friendly, the girls were beautiful and loved my vibe, and I truly¬†enjoyed everything about the city…besides the getting robbed by Russians part.

More to come soon.

  1. I’ve had some bad experiences with Russians while on holiday – not quite as bad as yours I must say. Often found them to be rude arrogant and aggressive. Heavy drinkers and chain smokers and they don’t give a fuck who has to listen to them or breathe their smoke. Never been to Russia, so maybe they don’t export their best. The ones who do travel do seem to have a very high proportion of asshats. Anyway as they say whatever doesn’t kill you …

    • Hope I learned something from this…’never trust a Russian in Cuba, and hide cash in your shoes’ is probably it.

I do want to visit Russia someday. The women I’ve dated from Russia are some of the best I’ve encountered.

          • Man, tell me about it. It’s refreshing with some of these Slavic women. I’m embarrassed to say, some of the best conversations I’ve had have been with Ukrainian women. I tend to mesh really well with them while having not been to Ukraine yet.

      • I have friends who have visited Moscow and had a good time, and I’ve met some pretty nice Russian women (one in particular looked like a Bond girl, acted like a Bond villain!). But had run ins with Russians in the Latvia, Eygpt, Maldives. Seen them behave appalingly specially when drunk and man those guys drink.

        • Well here I am thinking that Americans had the worst reputations in other countries…looks like the Russians might have use beat!

At least most obnoxious American tourists are just that…obnoxious, and don’t get violent.

      • Well, I’d say it was just bad luck. In my almost 30 years in Russia I’ve been mugged exactly once. It’s pretty good here, just don’t come in winter.

    • Yeah, I second that. I go to Asia quite a bit and the Russian tourists are disliked by both the locals and other tourists. The women are nice enough if you can get your foot in the door… But the men are universally hated because of their bullshit attitudes.

  2. Those pictures are fucking beautiful! Full of color and brightness. One gets the feeling of a recently unraveled world full of hidden beauty jumping out at them.

Remind me to hire you again for pictures once NYC is warm again (and when I revamp my style/looks).

    • Thanks man, its pretty simple to take nice photos in a city that looks so good.

We can do another shoot as soon as you are ready, I just got another lens that I’m really excited about…and girls get excited when I use the zoom on them. Girls + a photoshoot always equals a lot of fun.

Comments are on now...go right ahead.
