I spent the 2016 Christmas week in Havana, Cuba and have some stories to tell.
Most notably, getting robbed by a few Russian mobsters while trying to find a place to have sex with a beautiful local Cuban girl–she had light skin, blonde hair, and incredible curves–black girl curves, I nicknamed her “Vanilla Blackalicious”.
But that story will have to wait for another day when I can sit down in peace to write–I’ve been going hard and nonstop for the past 16 days–visiting new cities, family, friends, stripclubs, swamps, beaches, and bars–and I need to come down from the stimulation.
The story will come when my brain is calm, right now its an electric fence.
Here are some photographs I snapped while walking around broke as hell after getting robbed in Havana.
A view of San Lazaro, just North of Chinatown. I stayed on this street in Vedado.
Lots of Blues and Yellows around the city. Cuban colours.
There won’t ever be another revolution like the one in Cuba. Amazing, fucked up, and a major historical moment.
There is a pleasant atmosphere in the streets. Reminded me of New Orleans.
The city is considered one of the ‘New 7 Wonders’. Whatever that means.
Average wage for a Cuban is under 25$ a month. Offset by free healthcare, subsidized living, and education.
The vintage cars all over the city are truly incredible. I rode in many of them before I got robbed and each one had some custom work done on it to keep it running.
Awesome cars, everywhere.
Its a living museum.
The capitol building is under heavy construction.
There are a number of parks dotted around the city that you can hang out in all day…in case you don’t have any money because you got robbed by Russians.
Again…the colors around the town are a reason to visit. Its alive.
Plaza Vieja is a must see. Makes you feel sedated.
If you negotiate properly before getting in a bike taxi, it shouldn’t cost more than 1$
Always something interesting to look at.
There are tons of international tourists in Cuba. Not many Americans, I only met four my entire time there. When I told people I was from New York, they were shocked.
You must take a car over to the military fort. Walking isn’t allowed…which sucks after getting robbed by Russians.
You also have to pay to get inside Plaza de Armas…which sucks after getting robbed by Russians.
Cathedral Plaze is a nice place to spend an hour gazing at the old Spanish architecture and hitting on endless international tourist girls.
The locals were very friendly, the girls were beautiful and loved my vibe, and I truly enjoyed everything about the city…besides the getting robbed by Russians part.
More to come soon.
