People of all colors and creeds came together to watch a celestial event that caused everyone to stop thinking about how the world is spiraling out of control and focus on the star that gave us life.
I headed over to Transmitter Park in Greenpoint, Brooklyn to view the Eclipse and stumbled upon a gathering of hipsters who were trying their hardest to see who could care the most about the event.
Greenpoint is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Brooklyn and this was on a Monday afternoon.
I don’t usually pay attention to hipsters when I see them because they all look the same to me–that’s what happens when someone attempts to stand out so much.
For the first time, I focused the Camera on them and captured rare moments when hipsters allowed themselves to have fun.
You can see in the Gallery that many of them brought their own unique viewing device (usually in the form of an organic cereal box), and dressed up in their finest uniforms.
The shots are strangely captivating–make sure you pay attention to the details.
I was laughing the entire time editing them.
